Obviously my regular musings about Tight Hair Disco reflect a nostalgic fondness for the music of my youth…I’m on the soft side of 60 therefore positioning myself firmly within the crazy party days of the 70’s (Tiffany’s in the basement of the Empress remains my favourite)... but this group of talented musicians also bring a massive amount of entertainment to their musical experience…for example, there is the amazing energy of the Beckett sisters (see below), the brass section brings back memories of that iconic Earth Wind & Fire sound, the period clothing that most attendees embrace for the event is so over the top & fun, the consistent crescendoing musical interpretation of those memorable tunes leading to explosive joy on the dance floor…thanks again for last night Tight Hair Disco, can’t wait for Herman’s a month from now!

What a crazy party last night! Herman's upstairs was the perfect location to host the hottest band around...200+ people danced hard and loud for almost 4 hours - Tight Hair Disco just gets better & better every time we see them...the energy from Jody Dick, Hilary Beckett & Katherine Beckett is extraordinary...then they started playing "September" from EWF and the place went nuts! Wow...cya again on April 28th...
